CONNESSIONI

WHAT IS IT?

Every day we move around invisible nets: links and structures that support and connect us, even when we don't notice.

Nets made up by information, images, gestures, events, people...
A tree that falls becomes a home for new lives.

Each part of our body finds balance in relation to the others.
Every gesture produces effects that multiply. Ideas and thoughts grow when shared.

But what holds everything together? Where does a system finish and where does another begin? What are the relations that enable us to co-exhist?
"Connessioni - discover ourselves, the world and the relations" invites us to play with this questions that concern up close our time where changes and transformations are continuous.

To learn, to navigate the complexity and to take care of the links and the relations that shape the world.

WHAT TO DO?

Families are divided into groups and accompanied inside the CONNESSIONI exhibition-play experience to discover four interactive installations.

The visit is guided, and each installation begins with a short introductory storytelling moment led by the educator, followed by the play phase.

In each installation, the concept of “connection” is presented in a different way, with the aim of translating a complex theme into something accessible and playable.

At Connessioni, the playful experience involves adults and children together, and it takes place without shoes!

THE INSTALLATIONS

Within the exhibition, we will ask ourselves several questions that we will try to answer through the four activities in the space:

In-Con-Tra

Families will be invited to place colorful shapes within a shared space to create a collective composition. The presence of a large mirror will allow participants to see the network of relationships and connections generated by the actions and choices of each individual.

Meanwhile

Why is it important to consider how many things happen at the same time? Families will be invited to reflect on the concept of simultaneity, starting from the observation of “The Shortest Book in the World.” Digital tools will help make certain connections visible through illustrations that at first may appear unrelated to one another.

In-Visible

What are the invisible connections within our body? Families will be invited to assemble a giant puzzle that reveals how every cell, tissue, and organ participates in a complex network. With the help of colored filters, we will discover the wonder of the human body.

Fallen

What happens after a tree falls? Families will be invited to explore the delicate balance of an ecosystem and learn how everything transforms when a tree falls. The activity includes interaction with a large-scale reproduction of a beech tree, making visible the interconnection among the living beings of the forest.

FAQ

Can children under the specified minimum age participate?

It is strongly discouraged to allow a child under the minimum age to participate in the activity, as the set-up and activity are specially designed for the specified age. A child under the recommended age who accompanies a family member in the target group will not be required to purchase an entrance ticket but may only participate as an accompanying person. To make the visit easier, it may be helpful for you to use a baby carrier to carry your younger child.

Can children or adults enter alone?

The presence of at least one adult for every 3 children is mandatory. Adults are responsible for the children they accompany. Adults who do not accompany children will not be admitted to the activities. Are you a teacher and would you like to visit MUBA’s spaces at a dedicated time? It is possible to arrange a private visit by appointment. Write to us at info@muba.it to agree on the date and details

Can I participate with a group of friends?

Yes, of course. MUBA invites you to purchase tickets in a single transaction so that you can stay together as one group.

Is it possible to do the experience in my language?

Within the CONNESSIONI exhibition-play, the experience is conducted in Italian.
For people who speak other languages, a QR code is available that provides access to a digital guide, offering explanations of each installation in multiple languages, so that everyone can fully enjoy the exhibition path.

Do you have other dates on your calendar?

MUBA publishes activities once a month. We invite you to subscribe to the newsletter so that you are always up-to-date on upcoming dates or check the calendar on the website.

I had a problem during the purchase. What can I do?

For problems with your online purchase please contact the Midaticket ticketing service, which MUBA uses for all its activities, at customercare@midaticket.it

“Sono migliaia i bambini che nel corso di questi anni hanno riso, giocato, scoperto e imparato con le mostre del MUBA, costruendo una storia corale. A raccontarla oggi sono le persone che questo museo lo hanno immaginato, alimentato, visto nascere, sostenuto e studiato, facendolo crescere tutti insieme.”
