WHAT IS IT?
“Connections” is an interactive exhibition that uses play to invite visitors to explore relationships and the ways in which we come together.
Four engaging installations guide families on a journey of discovery through the human body, nature, and the bonds that form when we connect with others, helping them learn to recognize and understand those different from themselves.
Connections is a valuable training ground for relationships: an experience that teaches us to be with others, to listen, to collaborate, and to build more mindful connections.
WHAT TO DO?
Families are divided into groups and escorted inside.
The tour is guided, and each installation begins with a brief introduction by the educator before the play session begins.
At Connessioni, the play experience involves adults and children together, and takes place without shoes!
THE INSTALLATIONS
In-Con-Tra
Can we practice getting to know one another and getting along when we meet?
A space for building connections that invites us to reflect on the importance of the interactions that can arise between people. Through a game with colorful wooden shapes, children collaborate to create ever-changing compositions, discovering how each contribution alters and enriches the final result.
Meanwhile
How many things are happening in the world at the same moment?
Children are invited to choose from many illustrated postcards depicting different situations happening at the same time, all over the world. A game that allows us to think about others and ourselves, inviting us to expand the concept of the “here and now” by suggesting ever-new perspectives.
In-visible
How does our body work, and what invisible connections exist within us?
An oversized puzzle and special colored lenses let us see what we’re made of on the inside. Let’s discover the wonders of the human body: the infinite connections between cells, tissues, organs, systems, and apparatuses.
Caduto
Flowers, insects, fungi… how do they coexist in nature?
The installation tells the story of a beech tree that has fallen to the ground and of all the forms of life—animals and plants—that move, grow, and live within and around it. Many illustrated game tiles facilitate learning about a natural ecosystem.

FAQ
Can children under the specified minimum age participate?
It is strongly discouraged to allow a child under the minimum age to participate in the activity, as the set-up and activity are specially designed for the specified age. A child under the recommended age who accompanies a family member in the target group will not be required to purchase an entrance ticket but may only participate as an accompanying person. To make the visit easier, it may be helpful for you to use a baby carrier to carry your younger child.
Can children or adults enter alone?
The presence of at least one adult for every 3 children is mandatory. Adults are responsible for the children they accompany. Adults who do not accompany children will not be admitted to the activities. Are you a teacher and would you like to visit MUBA’s spaces at a dedicated time? Can I participate with a group of friends?
Yes, of course. MUBA invites you to purchase tickets in a single transaction so that you can stay together as one group.
Is it possible to do the experience in my language?
Within the CONNESSIONI exhibition-play, the experience is conducted in Italian.
For people who speak other languages, a QR code is available that provides access to a digital guide, offering explanations of each installation in multiple languages, so that everyone can fully enjoy the exhibition path.
